Anyone heard of or familiar with Phoenix Technology's Kicklite Recoil Reduction Stock? How is it compared to the Knoxx Specops?

From the looks of the picture on their website, it still looks like it's a pain to get to the release..... I'm probably still better off with the Hogue 12"..... spy

Sorry to bump an old thread, but its a relevant reply..

I just ordered one of these. I figure I'd give a shot.. But the reason for the early post about it, I ordered the stock and within 15 minutes of my payment, they had a ups tracking number in my inbox. So, so far, customer service is looking great.

We'll see how the stock is when it gets here.. if it is a quality stock, I am hoping it is the mid level stock option I have been looking for. And, if you order from them on eBay (seller: getstockedusa) instead of direct, the buy it now price is the same as the price on their site, but they have a bid option.. I used the bid option and won it, with shipping, for $94.99 which is a $20 save from the site price/ship.

I will post pics and opinions when it arrives.

Hey guys.. thanks for the pricing comparison and I got the tactical.. showed up today :)

First look:

Internal Recoil Suppression:

Grabbing the front of the SG with both hands with the butt stock on my chest, I can pull the suppression spring back about 3/4 of the way at best, using my full force.

Fore end installed:

Everything fits tight, no fore end issues.

Here's what happens if you do not remove the plate inside the receiver (doh!)

Done right:

The over all butt stock is tight, the included recoil pad is super soft to about 50% compression, and the included shell holder is soft plastic and really only gets ridged once fully stocked. That will soon be replaced with an aluminum one.

Interesting. For info carolina shooters supply shows the kicklite tactical stock set for 69.99.

http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com ... CAL/Detail

Edit: Both here, but I think these below are not kicklite. I think just non "recoil softening" ones maybe?

Tactical 66.95

Sporter 56.95

Guess I should have looked around some more, but I also like getting it direct.. for some reason. I did check these prices with shipping, brought the total to about $77 (tactical).. so these are definitely better deals ;)

Everything fits tight, no fore end issues. I do have one minor detail to address, but I believe I can tool it a bit to fit better.. and that is where the butt stock meets the receiver:

I believe I can shave a little material off the butt stock insert and make this flush.

did you remove the steel plate from between the reciever and stock?

I also am looking at add a recoil reducing stock to my Mossberg 500....was wondering how the Kicklite is working out? Is the recoil reduction a inside coil spring or is it just the back pad...........not much info on their web site..........the price is right........also looking at the Knoxx, Mako & Tacstar....thanks

I shot a half of box of 3 inch nitro steal with the stock (installed on an 870) today! first impression...... well when having a tight cheek weld on it I get a slight thump on the cheekbone nothing unbearable though.I had to cut and file some of the rings on the four arm to make it fit, again no biggy
I give it a 7 overall as of now will give a more in dept review with some slugs and buckshot on youtube when I get some time.

I hate to sound like a gun snob, but I would rather have the Knoxx Spec-Ops (which I do have TONS of experience with) over the kicklite, and I would rather have the Mesa instead of either. The Mesa with a snap over Limbsaver pad would be the ultimate in recoil reduction, and is a better built piece overall.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I found it when searching for info on Phoenix Technology's Kickilite Recoil Reducing Stock. I have put this stock on my NEF Pardner Pump Protector and it made a world of difference. After a box of bird shot with the original stock I was sore for a good week, but after a box of the same shells with the kicklite stock I wished I had bought five more boxes. This stock really does do the job. There is no cheek slap like I have heard of with other recoil reducing stocks and I have not a bit of soreness. I give this stock two thumbs up.
