I have a shotgun marked with the letters KK. I have read in previous posts that guns with the name (or letters) KK (stood for KEEN KUTTER) and were made by either the Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich, CT (1892 to 1930) or the Hopkins & Allen Manufacturing Company located in Norwich,CT (1871 to 1915), and that these were sold by the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis,MO. I'm hoping to date this shotgun as it has been in the family since at least the 50s and possibly longer. Also, I'm curious what is missing from the indention on the side. It has the number 1264 stamped on the underlug of the barrel and on the tang behind the trigger guard as well as a few other locations. Based on info in other posts I think this one may be a Crescent Fire Arms Company made gun.
