I've had my Lanber 2097 for about three months and have overall been extremely pleased with the purchase. My only issue with the gun is that right out of the box, the action of the lever wasn't smooth at all. It requires quite a bit of effort to push and it always feels a bit sticky/notchy. I've had a look at everything when I disabled the automatic safety and couldn't see anything obviously out of line. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions from all you Lanber gurus out there? Thanks!

That sure doesn't sound right. .. The lever action on my own 2097 has worked smoothly from the first day. Easy enough to do - I'd pull the action apart again and take another look at the affected area. Perhaps a burr left over from the machining process might be suspect? ..

Good advice above me there :)

The levers are generally offset in them to allow for wear, but it's the first time I've heard of a notchy one. Bearing in mind that you had access to the action when you disabled the automatic safety, is it a possibility that you may have got some crud or a filing in there when you did that?

If I were you, I'd ask in the Gunsmithing froum on here. There are some seriously knowledgeable fellows on there :)
