I picked up a Mossberg 183D B yesterday. My LGS posted a video on FB that they just got it in, and I brought it home for $172 and a copy of my 03 FFL.
It has a modified screw on choke, the bluing is a little worn in spots and the stock is in excellent shape. Never had a bolt action shotgun before. And once I get it all cleaned up and reassembled, I plan on taking it out and putting it through its paces. My 11 year old step-son has taken a liking to it, and I can see him wanting to use it during turkey shoots this Spring and Summer.
I have a copy of the Havlin's Mossberg book and I looked the gun up, however I can't find what the differences are between the sub models. What makes this a 183DB compared to a 183DC or a DD?
