I just acquired a Mossie Gold Reserve Super Sport O/U. Seems like a nice gun that points well and is not too heavy. I’ve only shoot 100 rounds of AA light loads so far. Anyone have any real world long term pros/cons?

I purchased one of these last year to see if I would enjoy clays. I an 6'7" and need alot of LOP. In 12 months I put 1425 shells in it without a problem. It took around 600ish rounds to open a bit more freely.
I would recommend it for a causal shooter. The other plus is that it takes Mobil chokes.
I did forget one thing. When I went to change the chokes, they were very tight. I did lap them in with valve grinding compound. After that no problems.
@baileybrent64 Thanks for the info. I definitely a casual shooter and thought that for the price point the super sport was a good buy. As you noted, the gun is rather tight however, I thought they'd loosen up with use and oil. Good tip on the chokes, I'll check them out.
I just got one at the begining of July so I haven't any long term info. Mine weighed in at 8.4 pounds which was very much what I wanted in a target gun. You said yours "is not too heavy", have you weighed it yet? The factory spec on Mossberg's website said 7.5 pound.
No, I haven’t weighed mine. Scales are banned in my house (1 wife, 3 daughters). It just feels light to me because I’m used to my 10# plus scoped rifles.
Mine has held up well but honestly, I haven’t fired more than 200 rounds through it this year. If you are a casual bird shooter or clay pigeon breaker, you won’t be disappointed.
