...except, I'm currently shoot a Rem "Sportsman" circa 1932 sixteen gauge!
Rem started making the Sportsman as a 16 gauge in 1932. My shotgun is one of the first 500 made!

The barrel/action S/N's didn't match. Since a tighter choke is required (needed?) for turkeys, I sent the barrel to Briley in Houston for screw in choke tubes. It is now a multipurpose, multi choke shotgun in the penultimate gauge! SIXTEEN! 😉
