All of you who say Remington is only playing in the lower end of the pool  .GET OFF IT! They have a wide range. ok enuogh of that

As far as Benelli having the patend on there inertia system ,that doesn't mean Remington cannot come out with one.As far as Stoeger. don't type about something you do not know about. Berreta owns Benelli , Franchi , Stoeger and that is just the shotguns....

I use to shoot a 1100 12 ga, I loved the gun but it jamed when it got cold. It pointed and felt great. I would love to own a auto that felt like a 1100 but would perform. Yes I always kept it clean, My dad would required a gun to be cleaned after even hunt or shoot and it stuck.

I now shoot a 870 wingmaster magnum 12 ga 3 inch made in 1988 and a 20 wingmaster LW made in 1980.

Both great guns

If I got a new auto it would be a Franchi or Berretta.

I like the Browning gold and X2 but are to heavy for me. I like a 7 pound gun or less.

For those who mentioned the M700.
You might want to keep up with Current Events.
Look for the military, namely the USMC to drop Remington like a bad habit in the not too distant future.
M700's are having to have a complete rebuild. Not reworked-- Re-Build at Quantico because of the piss poor Quality/Quality Control.
I was always under the assumption the Marine sniper rifles were based off of a Remington 700 receiver and bolt with the rest being custom parts and lots of hand fitting. The receiver and bolt are not used as is off the shelf from Remington so they would be getting attention no matter what.

Unless the U.S. Military switches to the McMillan action they'll be using some form of the 700 action for the bolt rifles.

Oh guest, I'm so glad your here with all of your knowledge and wisdom. ..Boy ,I guess all of my years of exsperience with.....what are we talking about......oh yes GUNS has no bearing on anything I say :? All of those gunsmiths building those custom rifles man what are they going to do. I guess they will just have to buy them all back...........................................thats it, your not worth my time.

Remington is the joke of the gun making world.
Face it people.
Their products are CHEAP, with little to not QC.
They appeal to the bottom end of the gun buying market.
The Weekend Warriors, or simply those who do not value a Quality firearm.
They also had serious over sea's competition, for these bottom end slots.
How did Remington handle it?
They bought them out. :) bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
Helloooooooo Spartan. Bwhahahahahahahaaa!!!!!!!

Like I said. Remington. The JOKE of the Gun World.
OK, now you have told us what you don't like.

Why not tell us what you shoot and why?

Wow.I hear people say Mossberg is junk and now Remington is a joke.My guns must be defective since they all work.

Just because a gun design is old and the "excitement"has dwindled doesn't mean the gun is now bad.Look at the 1911 .45,the M-1 and the AK-47 for example.

43 2N, you listed some pretty elite guns there. I don't belive the 1100 or 11-87 are in their leauge. For shotguns the Browning Auto-5 and the Winchester Model12 for sure. One other note, None of the models you listed are in service for their original countries any longer. They have all been replaced by updated models.

Yea I guess this Remington company that has been in business for 180 years must make crappy guns?

Remington not what it was before, The 504 is one of the best bolt action 22 rimfires on the market. If you need a deer or turkey shotgun remington has more models and better suited for both game. Remington owns stren fishing line and they are the most popular fishing line maker in America.
