Thank's Chorizo!! That was very cool!! Did you get that from Chuck @ TRI?? He sent me tour presentation also a while back but I don't think that I could post it. I'll double check and if mine is different I will attempt to post it again. I think the one that I saw showed big pallets of Cirrcassion Walnut stock blanks and other additional stuff..

Stockranger, that was an excellent observation on your part when you said that it looks like the 1950's in there in the factory photos of the Huglu operation. I know that you are fairly new to the shotgun industry and from your many posts and jabs on here as well as the Gun Opinion, ect. forums about Huglu shotguns that you really hate them and I just wanted to point out that you are 100% right on the money there. It also looks just like the "2010's in there" if you are looking at a Custom Gun Maker's production facility that makes Hand Made Guns in Scotland, England or the Basque Region of Spain, ect. costing up 10's of thousands of dollars. You didn't see alot of CNC machines and stock duplicating machines or Laser checkering machines or even machines that produce machined engraving, no!! What you saw was a gun making facility that painstakingly handmakes every gun, even the production guns and on the the production (price point guns) they have to cut corners every where that they can in order to make any money at all on them, these guns too are "Hand Made"!! Much like say Ugartechea, they are still building "Old School Hand Made Guns" but offering them at very affordable prices by cutting costs every where that they can and what the customer gets with their grade I guns is an absolutely bare bones hand made gun, but they are fantastic guns. Zabala, on the other hand, another Spanish gun maker actually now has more modern CNC and Lazer type technology on board and has been going after the price point market more like the way of say Ruger for example produces guns except with far better QC and higher acceptable standards. So they can turn out guns made of parts with very little hand fitting required (see the profits soar) but like Ruger, the supposed CNC'd interchangeable parts don't always fit together so good. But don't get me wrong Zabala still puts out amazingly high quality price point guns because that's part of their culture. Ruger on the other hand produces some super fine firearms and some total junk because of modern manufacturing process and what I call a lack of QC or low expectations in their acceptable tolerance levels. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Ruger Handgun Fan, they are are in a league of their own, especially with their handguns and with other firearms but you better look them over real good because they are fully capable of producing Top and bottom of the barrel quality and from my experience their warranty and customer service dept. sucks at Gale Force.
So anyway Stockranger, so that you might further your education and understanding of the Huglu guns I think that you should seek out one of Huglu's Custom SGr guns and really look it over and then you may begin to appreciate what a terrific value all the Huglu made guns really are. My really high grade SGr custom 0017 huglu gun (210BE, ejector gun)is a literal work of art, every inch of it is meticulously hand fiited to near perfection and man does it shoot good. I assure you that Huglu is fully cabable of producing magnificent high quality guns.

Those photos date from 2006. With their increasing distribution network in the US (CZ-USA, DeHaan, TR Imports, Orvis) I suspect Huglu has added machinery to allow them to produce more guns.

I wouldn't say I hate huglu guns. I just didn't like the one I had and part of it is I just dont' think I like break action guns. I bet I would not like a 10,000 dollar SxS either. Certainly it was a good value considering the cost of other guns. I liked some stuff about it like the black chrome barrel I thought it was pretty sweet and well finished on the one I had. I guess they just aren't really for me. My main complaint was the triggers. I mean really what should I expect for 600 bucks? It was sure nicer then a stoeger! My buddy shot it and he was just crushing the clays doing better then with his 870 instantly! I didn't think there was anything wrong with the shop looking like 1950. Infact all the finest guns where built prior to 1950 when people took pride and didn't cut corners. Look at the franchi 1948, the ithaca 37, winchester 1912 etc. Finest guns ever made! I do like all you folks on the huglu forum a whole bunch! Very helpful.Hope you don't mind my Franchi repeater at a huglu forum hunt! Maybe I can just take a picture holding one of your sxs with the dead roosters so I can look classy lol!

Oh and your right on with the rugers. Good pistols. Probably as a good as S&W but alot cheaper and built like a tank. you got to watch out for lemons with all their guns though. Sometimes they make a good rifle but just as often they are a lemon too.

Thank's Stockranger, it's good to know where you are coming from and I certainly understand, lock breech guns aren't for everybody that's for sure in fact when doing any more than casual Clays shooting I have to use a gas auto because of an old neck injury, the lock breech 12 ga. guns just cripple me. As far as shooting and owning other guns and coming to the shoot that isn't a problem at all in fact I'm pretty sure that I saw at least one non Huglu (maybe an RBL) gun in the photos maybe more. Just bring that sweet 48 AL of yours, they are great guns aren't they. I love my little 48 AL Fenice, it is actually one of my favorite light weight upland guns, I really like the way that they carry with their round action receiver.

Yup Strat.....

BPGuy was carrying a RBL. Not sure what Larry and Tom were carrying, but I don't think they were Huglus. Steve's annual pheasant hunt really isn't a "Huglu Hunt" per say more of a hunt that happens to have a lot of Huglu fans at it.

Best....2few

Wow! That was fantastic to watch. Makes one appreciate the word craftsman! Nice to see them test firing their guns too.
Thanks for posting that. :D
Everybody should watch this movie! :!: I suggest we start that as a thread by itself so everyone sees it!
