South Florida SC put on a great tournament. Only fly in the ointment was rain for the last part of Sunday, what were they thinking? 😉

Sorry I didn’t get to say hello to anyone, turns out I was busier than expected.

As it turns out I did some of my best shooting in the rain. However, it was too little, too late 🙂

On a plane (saying my prayers) and back to the grind tomorrow.

 

Agree that it was a great event but hat rain on Sunday is a black mark for sure, Desantis really should take action to keep that from occurring in the future.
I shot better than expected after a 3-month layoff so no complaints from me. Shooting with some friends today at Palm Beach Shooting Complex before our next event at the Caribbean in Vero.

 

Targets were overall very good imo. The target setters were good at setting technical stuff without the advantage of terrain that most places have at least a little of. Wow is it flat there. I thought the fitasc targets were the biggest I’ve ever seen, in my limited experience, and the biggest challenge of the events I shot (main, SS, Fri prelim and fitasc). Cool to see stuff you never have seen, and break a few that look like they are in the next zip code.

While I didn’t win anything, I shot with 2 winners, Mr. Todd Hitch on Friday and my good friend Nick on Saturday in the SS (A class winner). Fun stuff.

 

I thought for sure Mr. Hitch was going to take the main after his incredible round on the Gator course.

Absolutely, and I forgot to mention I was able to shoot fitasc with Braxton. Interesting young man and one heck of a shot.

 

I agree that the targets were good, and the club is first class. I shot the main at 2:30on Sunday but the rain didn't bother me as much as the humidity afterwards. I couldn't keep my glasses from fogging up and even had to take them while in the box a couple times just to see the targets & the crazy thing is I shot my best score of the week. I'll definitely shoot the RC Cup again next year!
