Hi all,

Wanted to ask if anyone knew if Dickinson (i) makes their own chokes; OR (ii) if they white label the chokes of another manufacturer; OR (iii) Is their a known brand where one could purchase after market chokes. Would deeply appreciate a response to any of these and thank you in advance for your help : - )

Best regards,

Syd

Have you tried Briley, Trulock, Carlson's and a host of others?

Briley makes OEM for a plethora of gun companies as do a few others......

The Dickinson and SKB are made by AKUS of Turkey and come here already fitted with Teague style chokes (no notch's for wrench). The SKB website lists limited availability of replacement or aftermarket choke tubes in traditional USA choke size designations. I had Briley make a couple of choke tubes for my 16 ga Dickinson, but one barely fit with a lot of effort and the other was unworkable. I recently purchased a 12 ga Dickinson Prestige sidelock, 30" barrels for clay shooting and limited hunting (7# 5 1/2 oz) and have SKB skeet chokes on backorder awaiting delivery. The AKUS made guns are nice guns, but greater availability of choke tubes would be a plus.

I have tried several times to get replacement tubes for my 12 gauge. No luck. I tried SKB, but they were out of stock. I called Carlson's. They said they were Beretta Mobilchokes. They aren't. I even sent a tube to Trulock. They were very nice, but said they didn't make such a tube and couldn't fabricate one for me. I guess having Briley make one is the only solution, but they are expensive.
If anyone comes up with an answer, please post it.

Thank you all for posting, deeply appreciated.

Also spoke with Jordon from Pacific Sporting Arms West today, got the number for Dickinson. Left a message and will follow up with them again tomorrow.

Great insight into the manufacturer. Will let everyone know how we got on with this : - )

After a couple of days of calling and no answer, there was a creeping concern that Dickinson may have closed its doors here  Turns out everyone was at the 2020 SHOT Show! :D

The chokes are manufactured through a third paty and some are available for purchase here in the USA ($30.00 each). Wanted an extra IM, M and IC for competitions. Apparaently they do not have an LM available for the 12 Gauge Plantation model.

The Dickinson main line number is (805) 978-8565. Person I spoke with was freindly, knowledgeable, helpful and got my order underway. {hs#

Excited to get the new shotgun out, patterned and breaking clays.

A friend of mine has a Greenwing O/U, and I've put my Beretta Mobil Carlsons, and CZ chokes in it with no problem.

However, I can tell you whatever reason meccanica del sarca Beretta chokes don't thread into his barrels easily. We found these guys cheap and ordered 4, they screw easily into my CZ but not so much into his Dickinson.

While the threads may be the same, there is no warranty that the interior design of the choke is the same or even similar to another brand unless verified by either the manufacturer of the gun or the choke.
Interior design of the non-branded choke could be different enough to be dangerous, particularly at the point of interface between the end of the tube and the end of the barrel bore.

Hi, Late to the party but I had a hard time finding info. on this also.

I have a Dickinson Marine shotgun, Love it.
Recently ordered a Bennelli/Beretta Tactical choke for a different shotgun.
It fits perfectly in the Dickinson.

What is the bore diameter of the barrel and the bore diameter of the choke where it meets the bore diameter of the barrel. Is it bigger than the barrel right there, if not, you don't want to use it. At least not around anybody else.

Most of the Turkish guns have either Huglu or Beretta/Benelli Mobil chokes. I would bet the 12 gage have Mobil and the 20 gage Huglu chokes.
