Recipes for steel rated wads with LEAD

Looking to load lead shot in steel wads. Hoping for a 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 oz LEAD recipe using a CSD or other steel rated wad. I've seen some factory European target loads like this using card/fiber inside the wad. Would like something similar to burn up some marginal reclaimed shot with added protection of a steel rated wad.

Anyone have something like this in their files?

I have the RSI turkey recipe for 1-3/4 oz but I'm looking for more of a standard field load.

I have a wide range of powder/primers on hand so I'm not limited to current production or availability.

***ETA- 12 gauge

Bpi has a ton of lead recipes using the steel wads they sell.
Also the wad sheets themselves do. Lemme look...
All the bpi wadsheets on my phone are 20ga and 16ga.

Here is a csd20 example:
150302-6327 20 Cheddite Ched209 Lil' Gun 34.0 CSD20 (slit) 18FW20 in base 1 1/8 492.2 Lead #5/6 10800 1370

The lbc50 has 5 recipes, 1.5- 2.0 oz

Yeah, go download csd 078, 100, 118 wadsheets or look in Advantages, you'll see some.

Sorry Dave, should have stated 12 gauge in the OP. Edited the original post.

I'm not sure where those online load sheets are now. I was unable to come up with anything other than 1-3/8 in the BP1253 wad using HS6 or Longshot. I burnt up my 1251 and 1253 wads long ago but I may use that as a basis for a load test.

It's a very interesting question: How is the group size affected by just the thick walled wad rated for steel?
It's on my to-do list for the summer.

Here is my theory: shot starts dispersing only after it leaves the wad. About 3 feet from the muzzle. But maybe for steel rated wads, which are super stiff... maybe the wads don't peel open for another few feet. Without high speed cameras, looking at the shot pattern from the different wads might be an interesting data point.

We know steel shot groups tight because it's very round and very hard. How much of the group is due to a very stiff wad? Inquiring minds want to see the patterns!

I'm intrigued by your idea of loading lead shot in steel wads! I've been experimenting with some similar recipes using CSD wads and card/fiber internals. I've got a few options that might work for you. One recipe I've been playing with uses 1 1/4 oz of lead shot, a CSD wad, and a card/fiber internal. I've been using a pretty standard powder charge, but I've also been experimenting with some older powders to see what works best.

Im trimming CSD114 close to CSD118 length and put in 902gr #T or #F lead, 33gr-35gr Lil'Gun, 3" Fiocchi hulls.

Ive seen youtubers shooting CDS with strong loads of buckshot with 26gr-29gr Longshot. "I would think" 29gr Longshot is plenty safe for loads under 1 1/2oz. The CSD wads will need a cork or felt cushion to fill in some space for smaller 1 1/4oz. loads. Ive got the full size CSD wads here, I would load up 1 3/8oz lead over a 1/4" 20ga cork with 26gr Longshot to start low without hesitation, Ive shot larger loads from the CSD and the very similar CTPmax.
