Found a 11-48 good condition 20 gauge.
Gentleman asking 500.00, been searching for others to compare price to no avail.
500.00 to much?

As has already been stated, if it’s in great condition and vent rib then yeah I’d give that for it. I’ve not seen that many vent rib 20’s in my travels. I’m not saying that they aren’t out there by the hundreds but I haven’t seen them. Now someone will come along and say “ Oh that’s all I see around here “ Never fails.

No, vent ribs are definitely much less common. I have owned a VR 20 gauge 11-48, though. I've also had a couple of vent rib 11-48 shotguns in 28 gauge. Typically, these are skeet guns and they do bring a premium.

It's been my experience that a vent rib 11-48 BARREL (alone) will often sell for as much as (or more than) a complete 11-48 shotgun with a plain barrel .
