Stopped by the local gun shop yesterday and saw a really nice Premier, no blemishes, good wood, excellent finish, engraved both sides, gold trigger, looked like a 28" lc barrel. Price was $850. Does this sound a little on the high side? I was thinking of offering $500.

I think it would be high at $850, yes. I think if you could get it for $500, it would be a great deal and a good buy at $600. I just bought the same gun, but not in good shape for $300 at a pawn shop. It had some surface rust and pitting and the wood was hagged out. Dirtiest gun I've ever seen.

Anyways, I think this is just like the gun you are looking at. He wants 500 and I think it's probably worth that. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =172464016

You can buy a NIB Remington 11-87 Sportsman for $499 at Gander Mountain. I like the Premier better. The last Premier I bought was 95% or better. I paid $375 for it.

GM has a Father's Day sale until June 20. The Remington 11-87 Sportsman 12 or 20 gauge is $499 with the $100 rebate. I will try to find the link. I have the sales circular.

With the Father's Day sale coupon, you get another $100 rebate, making it $499.

That sounds a bit high! Up her in Canada guns cost us more. I just sold an 11-87 Premier 175th anniversary edition in mint condition. Not a scratch fires a handfull of times. Sold for $825 including the shipping. Normally a used Premier unfired would go for about $600 and used about $450.
Goodluck!
