Remington 1187 bolt

I have a Remington 11-87 that needs a bolt assembly. I have seen some advertised as "special clay" bolts. I have been unable to find any explanation of any difference between this and a regular bolt assembly. I'm thinking this might be a sale gimmick? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

Not sure but I think that the 1100 will work. There should be plenty out there. Do a little on line research and I think you will find your answer

I believe all 1100 and 1187 bolts are interchangeable. Never heard of sporting clays bolt for an 1187. There is an 1187 Sporting Clays edition but I believe that the bolt is the same.

Easy way to check is schematics. MWGW ,s normally tell which fits which and if not compare part numbers given

The extractor is wider in a 1187 bolt.

That's what everyone says, yet I have trap t produced in 79 that has the same width extractor as my 91 11-87
