Does anyone have any leads or recommendations on where to find a remington 20 gauge 870 barrel? Id like to find a shorter barrel than my 28” for some testing. Exact size doesnt matter, I’ll probably end up modifying it anyway. I took a chance at a cheap one on ebay last year and it turned out to be the one that fits a full size frame. Ive been keep an eye out on ebay and gunbroker, but havent seen any good deals on a lightweight 20 barrel.

Does it have to be a Wingmaster barrel? The best bet is to probably find an 870 Express 20 ga barrel. The full size field barrels were 26" and 28". The youth model vent rib barrels are 21" with rem chokes. The smooth bore and rifled slug barrels are 20".

Doesn’t have to be anything special, just looking at doing some velocity testing with a short barrel. I’d assume any express barrel on a lightweight frame would be okay. I would even take a 28” bulged at the end barrel lol. More for my own curiosity…looking at doing my own threads and chokes.

True
I have a Remington 1100 LT-20 and would like to find a 18 1/2 to 20 inch barrel preferably with sights for a decent price.
Put a Magazine Extension on it and Lean it in the bedroom corner for Home defense purpose mainly

Finding a 20 gauge Remington 870 barrel, especially a shorter one, can be a bit tricky these days. I’d suggest keeping an eye on local gun shows—sometimes you’ll get lucky with used parts. Also, it might be worth checking out forums or Facebook groups dedicated to 870 enthusiasts; people sometimes list barrels for sale or trade there.
If you're up for modifying, you could always grab a longer one and have it cut down to your preferred length. That way, you have control over how it’s set up. Good luck with the search—hope you find what you need!

My 20 ga wing master is from the mid 70s. I’m looking for a 28” barrel modified choke. Cpw3111@gmail.com
So your gun is a standard weight 870 20 ga built on a 12 ga size receiver or is it a lightweight 870 20 ga? The barrels do not interchange between the 2 models.
