Almost a year later after i bought a Rizzini BR110 Sporter 30" in 28g. AWESOME gun. FUN FUN FUN and it can go toe to toe with the big boy 12g in clays until you get to some of the longer distance shots...but 90+ % you can hit anyting with the 28g. Does not tire you out much either. Often I will shoot main event in AM with 12g and do SuperSport with the 28g after. My friends have tried it as well and 2 of them bought one for their own as well. Only issue was finding external chokes (...even though they market it for clay shooting, it only comes with a few internal chokes). I found Gemini chokes of out Italy that makes external chokes for the Rizzini. About 50 Euros a choke + DHL shipping to USA (nominal if you by a set of chokes).

I do not hunt, but some of my friends say this gun is also a perfect quail / bird gun in the field as well.

Yes, the shells are $3-5 more a box of 25, but it is kinda like complaining about having to put high octance gas in your Porsch, etc. Minor cost in the big scheme of what the sport costs overall.

If your shells are ONLY $3-$5, good for you! Where i live the difference is a lot more as in $18 for 28 versus $9 for 12. I agree in principle though, and if you bought Win AAs by the pallet in good times when thet are $7-$8/box and you can sell the empties now for $4/box+; it doesn't even pay to reload - but how many 28 gauge shooters did that?

Post title is wrong....I should of posted 28g , not 12.

My buddy has a 12g BR 110 sporter and loves it as well. I like how they feel vs some of the other $2000-$3000 range guns.

I did have to send my 28g to Utah after a few months due to a trigger that would not reset, but they fixed it and no problems since.

buy a Turkish exotic wood blank and duplicate the stock with 22 or 24 LPI. Add cost of semi gloss to it. The black receiver will compliments the wood grain fantastically well and the gun will draw more attention than a similar looking blaser.
the mechanics are as good as most guns below $5000 msrp. Don’t be fooled by the price, fantastic gun…
