I new Gary very well. We both served as President of the Sporting Clays Association of North Carolina. He built a strong foundation for the State Association. He was a great leader, and was well respected by the shooters of NC. He was an excellent shooter, and a fine gentleman. I am proud to have been associated with him.

 

I'm a master class shooter in NC and competed against Gary multiple times over the years. Never once did he have a disparaging remark or comment about a target or competitor. Very class act. He also carded a 99 in a registered tournament just a few months before his demise. While battling cancer. Incredible.

 

I didn't know your brother personally, but I knew who he was and saw him at many tournaments in NC. Alway seemed like a nice guy, and his name was usually at or near the top in the tournaments he shot in. Sorry for your loss.
