Actually, at our club we bought some beach umbrellas that have a two part pole. We were able to mount the lower part on the chair with U clamps. The upper part, with the umbrella, could be slipped in when needed and then removed and stored.

 

Plenty of wind here, have had troubles with beach type umbrellas (though we have some), have heard others say umbrellas designed for older farm tractors are more rugged. Looking into that also.

 

Yep, Advance went out of business about 3 years ago. Too bad because their products were A+.

This chair is made out of kiln dried 2"x3"s. I have the templates for each piece but I can't deal with you with only 2 posts. If there is another club member who is a regular here, they can contact me. Or, anyone who is handy can probably duplicate one from just theses pics.
