Did Ithaca ever make a shotgun for Sears that was a semi auto? Which manufactures actually made semi auto shotguns for Sears and under which names, Ted Williams or J. C. Higgins or something else. Would a picture of the shotgun in question help? I posted one here cpg1410/index.php?cat=167059 Thanks

If my recollection is correct, the only semi-auto that Ithaca made (as opposed to imported/sold) was the Model 51. I don't believe that was ever offered as a Sears branded gun.

I know that High Standard made a bunch of the Higgins semi-autos. I think some of the later ones may have been Winchester 1400's but I'm not sure about that.

ETA: Your picture is pretty small so it's hard to see details, but that looks like one of the Higgins shotguns produced by High Standard. Search this site for your gun's make/model name (i.e. "higgins 60") and you'll probably find a bunch of information.

Best I can tell from the photo is that this gun is a Winchester 1400 of the Ted Williams brand name.
