My old shooting towel is about worn out. anyone have a source of places that have a variety of shooting towels or does everyone just make their own. years ago people custom made them at most shoots but I never see venders at the shoots anymore

I use Walmart budget hand towels. Just switched to black ones because I got tired of wasting Clorox trying to get the white ones clean after every shoot.

I'm too tall to use a grommet. The towels just don't reach my forehead without straining and eventually ripping out the grommet.

I just tuck it into my pocket and pull out when necessary. The towels are cheap and I take five (one for each gauge) to every tournament.

That gives me a clean towel every time I shoot. There's nothing worse than trying to wipe a smear off my glasses with a towel I used the previous day.

I've seen some people wearing towels that look like they haven't been washed in weeks. 🤮

I have an old golf towel clipped on to my shooting bag. As mentioned above, it's been there for years, and is really just for wiping dirt or grease on.

I also carry one of these Amazon bulk towels, they are cheap, (12 towels for 20 bucks) and I carry it in the outside pocket of my shooting pouch. It is for wiping sweat off my face. I let my 12 and 20 lay when shooting a tournament, so no worries about space in that side of the pouch. The 28 and 410 are small enough that there's still space, even with the folded up towel.

I take 4 or 5 to every shoot, and start each event with a clean towel. They wash real easy in the machine.

I typically use the cheap microfiber towels as found at Harbor Freight or Sam's. This is what I made to use any towel. It clips through a grommet in my shell pouch. It's a 1/4" wide brass strap formed around a 1/2" rod and Loctited to a Mueller BU-48C copper clip with one 4-40 stainless screw. I used 0.060" thick brass so that I could get a few threads tapped for the screw (no nut on the back).

I'm not a tall guy, and towels with a grommet in one corner were always hanging down and brushing against my pretty legs when shorts season comes around... :p
