Those of you who have bought these, how has your experience been? Are they worth the money or should I maybe consider another brand?

I've been using them for just shy of four years. They've been great, and for me well worth the money. I'm sure there are some other good products available (ESP seems to have many satisfied customers), but based on my experience I can certainly recommend Sound Gear. Regardless of brand, with electronic ear protection it's essential to start with a good mold done by a qualified audiologist.

I love mine. It did take a little getting used to being able to hear things yet also hearing my voice in my own head like with normal ear plugs, but now I wouldn't want to go back to non-electronic protection. They are also significantly more comfortable than the foam plugs and, as you probably suspect, fit perfect every time unlike the foam plugs. The comfort and ability to hear normal conversation with them has made me much more compliant in wearing protection while hunting.

Thanks all. I was (am) torn between the phantom's and ESP's but the added bluetooth capability is putting the phantom's in the lead. Not sure if that is a detriment to noise protection when shooting or not, but I do like to listen to music while shooting alone so I can stay out of my own head.

Just got mine the other day by myself so no need for conversation or BT they were great stand alone hearing protection. Because of the custom fit it seemed to work so much better.

BT was not that important to me but controlling ambient sound and being rechargeable...I looked at the ESP but the batteries were a deal breaker.

Love mine. The main reason I went to them over my others was the bluetooth. I found during shoots, I was putting in an earbud more often as this allowed me to be connected for an issue but provided zero actual hearing protection. Since these are bluetooth I was able to keep connected to the crew and have proper protection. Made it an easy choice for me.
One thing my doctors warned me about was battery life. I often wear mine 8-14 a day, 7 days a week. He warned me as the battery degrades I might experience shorter lifespan and that battery replacement will be about half the cost of the plugs. After 2 years with them I haven't noticed any shortness of battery life yet and am happy. Glad I swapped.

Is there any benefit to purchasing from the audiologist and not from Sound Gear directly? Right now Sound Gear has a $150 coupon if you buy from them.
Mention to your doctor. I saw one as I was getting mine and he said no trouble. He gave me the discount too. I don't know if sound gear reimbursed him or he just ate it but he seemed happy with outcome and I was too.
