Anyone familiar with Spandau shotguns? Their Premier Field looks a lot like the SKB 690. The price point is about the same too. SKB's website says their guns are made by Akus and Akdas. I read somewhere today that Spandau are made by Akus. Don't know if that is correct. I'm looking at 28 gauge units. Was focused on the Tristar Cypher, which is new this year. About $400 less than the Spandau. But now I'm wondering if the Spandau would be a better choice. It also is chambered for 3 inch shells. Seems like the new factory non-toxic loadings are 3 inch, not 2 3/4. Don't plan on shooting any lead loads, just non-toxic. Thanks, Bob

I settled the dilemma. Ordered a Tristar Cypher 28 gauge today through a local shop. Price was good. A determining factor was parts availability. Tristar will sell parts if you provide the serial number for your gun. It appears that Spandau will not sell you parts.
