Anybody using this new Remington stock set? It feels pretty good shouldering one in the store but how about any opinions from real world use.

I'm glad to see some other folks with the same questions/interest in Sureshot Stocks. I'm amazed at the lack of attention/discussion on them in the forums. I also thought the Sureshot Stock fit in the store was great, in fact perfect foe me. I think the design would make it a great HD replacement stock set for my old 870 woodies. Any negatives or thoughts why they haven't taken off? What does the LE commmunity think of them? Thanks!

Not every one like pistol grips, some like short LOPs, some like the recoil management that you get with the spec ops stock, some like to be able to adjust the LOP like the carbine type stocks. Might just be why you don't see more post about them ?

The 2008 Remington 870™ Express® ShurShot™ Synthetic Turkey /HD?? 12 gauge shotgun with a 21" vent-rib bead-sighted barrel and buyer specified black ShurShot™ stock and forend has a MSRP of $492. Magazine extension recommended.

Hi all,
Long-time lurker, recently joined, first post.
Thanks to all who have enlightened and entertained me here for the last year or so. :D

I *love* my ShurShot-eqipped 870 Express HD. The parallel comb works well for skinny, narrow-cheekboned guys like me. Its wavy-conical grip is the most comfortable I've ever found. Overall, I think it's an unbeatable value for 870 owners in the market for a non-collapsible pistol-grip stock. I'll be posting it soon in the "Post Pictures..." thread.

Best,
Bones

Remington: "Proving to be one of the most lethal developments in shotgun technology since the 3.5" 12 gauge chambering, the new ShurShot™ stock is redefining lethal range and handling ease. Look for it on many new Model 870 and Model 11-87 shotguns this year (2009)."

00Bones, welcome to the Basement. Did you install the black Shurshot stock and forend set #19544, $56.00, on an 870 Express HD #25549 or #25077, or is Remington offering your shotgun but does not yet have it on their website?

To you and liljake, thanks for the welcome!
Yes, that is exactly what I did. I have not seen a tactical/HD model offered with this stock (yet).
The pic is over in the "official gun porn thread". :D

As promised in another thread, here is my M870HD. I've added the ShurShot stock, 870P trigger group with Wilson jumbo safety, TacStar sidesaddle and flashlight clamp, Streamlight Scorpion C4, GG&G sling loop plate and Blackhawk (OUR! LOGO! IS! LOUD!) sling.

Super. Is it easier to get your single-point bungie sling over a heavy coat, 00Bones?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but are any of you interested in selling just the forearm to your 870 shurshot stock?

I'm wanting to get an 870 express 7 round but the reach to the forearm is a tad long for me. I like the LOP of the oem rear stock but wish the forearm extended back more so when my hand was on it, I'd be closer to the receiver.

I realize this will make it impossible to put a side saddle on but that's okay for me.

When I can, I'll post a request in the classified section as well! First post here.

Thanks all
Gideon

I want to put one of these SureShot stocks on my 870 Express Tactical. Does anyone know if it will interfere with the usage of the XS Ghost Rings sights that are on the gun? I really don't want to swap-out my sights.
