I recently purchased an SX405 and I have a question regarding disassembly of the action. The manual says to grasp the open lever and pull it out in order to allow the rest of the assembly to come out. Is there any trick to getting the open lever to come out?

Thanks

Cress,

Any help for this guy??? This post has been on here for about a week, with no reply, I dont have the answer, as I do not own one of these .....yet. I dont want him to get discouraged about Veronas. Nor do I want the post to get lost, I simply replied to get it to the top for the Cress to see it and hopefully respond. :) :p

Hose many thanks,BJR I apologize for the tardieness.
I am taking a shot in the dark here:
I assume your attempting to remove the Bolt and the operating handle is not coming out.?
There is a cutout in the bolt that the operating handle is inserted through and into the bolt carrier. You will notice a notch in the bolt that is above the op. handle. with the gun unloaded and the forend removed, you will need to place that notch that is on the bolt directly above the operating handle. This will allow the handle to be pulled out. There is a little "nub" on the top of the op handle that can only come out through the notch (cutout) on the bolt. There is a small spring in the bolt carrier that can pop out easily when the op handle is removed, keep an eye on it.
Please let me know, and again I apologize for the late response.

Other than a little hang up there with the disassembly, how do you like the gun?? How do you like the way it shoots, swings, and shoulders?? What kind of loads are you using in her?? Everything cycle ok?

Sorry, I am still very curious about these guns. I can get a synthetis stock version for $249 brand new!!! Hard to pass that up for an occassional use gun.

The biggest thing that I dint like about is that it kinda reminds me of an old Browning Humpback. It has that big buldge in the back right were you look down the barrels. Sorry, just a pet peeve I guess, I just really dont like that. But I can get over it.
