Purchased this gun at Sportsman’s after reading several positive reviews- seems well made, price was right- took it home, cleaned it and shot it- ran the recommended box of 3” magnums (Fiocchi nitro pheasant ) through it without a hitch- the shot a round with light target loads- the only issue I had was it jammed once by pulling 2 shells out of the mag tube at the same time? Cleared that and never happened again. Overall very happy- this thing is the most difficult s/a I have to take apart and re-assemble- kind of have to get the bolt, slide arms and barrel all lined up and insert it all together in the receiver together- need three hands

looking to pick up a raptor this weekend..noticing something reading these semi auto shotgun threads..is that standard practive to run magnum loads or heavier loads in it first before shooting ligher target loads through it. Yours in the 3 rd post I read where the buyer ran 3" mags through it first before seeing if it will run target loads.....Thank you for your feedback?!
