If you are not recoil averse then get the 12 it will extend your range from 50 to 100 yards.

My setup:
12 gauge Ultra Slug Monster
Weaver High Bases and Rings
Mueller Optics 2-7x32 Multi-Shot
Winchester Partition Gold 2.75" or Hornady H2K 2.75 slugs

 

There is nothing wrong with a 12 gauge sabot slug load, except for heavy recoil. The 20 gauge, I found, is more plesant to shoot and is a bit more accurate than the 12 sabots. Both will take Deer sized game at 100 yards or less.

 

i recomend the 12 gauge bigger slug and more power down range

 

Three of us all have the 20ga ush in are deer party and would never go back to 12gauges,however most if not all of are shots are less than 100yds with an occasional 125yder,less recoil and more accuracy.

 

definately the 20ga and i recomend lightfield 2 3/4. At 175yrds there are no safe animals.

I had the same back and fourth going on in my head these last few weeks... and this morning I purchased the 20 ga USH Deluxe. I guess the deciding factor for me was what I had heard about the accuracy and less recoil w/o really compromising knock-down power. Also I read alot of articles about 12 sabots "really shreading" or "amazing hole" in a deer - personally I wanna have something to eat at the end of the day.

Also, I am new to this site, this is my first post.
