Arrowhead Gun Club located outside of Chase City Virginia is well on its way prepping for the 2024 Virginia State Sporting Clays Championship June 6-9, 2024. Rick Hemingway, Eric Dorsey and Braxton Oliver will be setting a multitude of targets. The new course will be used for the 100 bird fitasc event, the sub-ga/super sporting will be in the high canopy hardwoods course and the main will be set so that a variety of targets presentations can be thrown over the four day event. Two Berretta A300's have been donated. The A300 20 ga will be drawn out of all youth entrants in the main, and the A300 12 ga will be drawn out of all 21+ entrants. Friday night we will have a North/South Shootoff (split by the James River and will include youth, in state and out of state participants) based on Thursday's scores. That evening will also include the upscale catering of Coopers Landing. Saturday night we will have shoot offs as well as our calcutta event. That evening's food will be a surf and turf buffet by Rising Smoke.
Come enjoy our "Diamond in the Country" and relax with Traveling Grace masseuse on Saturday, get a hat or shirt from our custom embroiderer on site all weekend or enjoy one of our other 10 or so vendors that will be located in the main hall room and outside. I stayed in South Hill before I got my camper. I will say though, that if you stay right off 85 plan to bring EVERYTHING from your car into your room or ask someone at the club if they'll store your gun overnight. Park in front of your room if you can.
