You do not need to rotate it, depress the tab and keep pushing it up.

I have tried to push it upwards, but Im having no luck. Should I grab it with pliers? It seems that I will break it.
Shall I insert something in it and pull that way? I am kinda running out of ideas.

 

I don't know how it happened, but I think the problem is the end of the mag tube is "dimpled" or slightly bent in, around the retainer. That is why it won't just slip out. At this point all you can do is depress the tab on the retainer, then use pliers or similar to pull the retainer out by the mag cap detent, which will probably damage the retainer, the detent and possibly the end of the mag tube. And once you replace those parts, you will need to figure out how to remove those dimples on the mag tube. By the way, did you buy this new or used?

Yeah that is what Im afraid is the problem too sadly. It was a brand new purchase, and I do know it is the fixed mag tube modell (2+1), but somehow I cant believe that you cant clean and service the magazine of a gun, just because it is fixed. I dont really care about the plug, since 3 shots is enough for my situatian anyway, but the lack means of cleaning my gun is infuriating to say the least. I have tried to reach Winchester in both their US and EU sites and contacts, but apart from a smaple text of try to reach my own countries representative I didnt get an answer.
Sadly I couldn even locate a sitewhere I could get this piece of plastic in the EU, even tho it is not a regulated piece in any of the nations.

 

Yep, i've done it, breaking the plastic retainer then using pliers to shape the tube back to a round shape.
Now i can remove the plastic retainer (new one i bought) effortless.

Where did you get the replacement piece from? Are you prehaps from the EU? I cannot find an retailer business or personal one for the love of my god sadly, to get a new plastic piece for my gun.

It's not coming out because the end of your magazine tube is bent/ crimped in at least 3 spots that I see.

 

Lately alot of guns have included this anti freedom design. Anyway, never had a sx4. But I've had other guns that I just took out the magazine spring keeper and screw the cap back on. Shoots just fine, just check that your cap is tight every few shots. They also make "wave washers" that will keep the cap in place.

 

Which Turkish gun manufacturer produces the SX4? And Does this manufacturer also produce the Browning Silver?

 

FN produces both, in Portugal.

 

If you are from Hungary, this is not only bent in, it is as well glued in. Had the same issue.
