I have had two Yildiz Pro shotguns and wish I had kept them. The guys who now own them are very pleased with the guns.

 

I'm sorry what I meant is that the dealers that I have talked with have a high opinion regarding these guns.

There is a wide disparity in price and most certainly quality between the Yildiz Pros and the Yildiz coming out of Academy. As I stated in another thread here, the higher quality Yildiz guns are having their reputations tainted by guns selling for a little over $500.00 at a box store.

 

With 14325 rounds through mine and zero issues I am completely satisfied with my Prostar.

 

I have the Prostar Scroll and it’s an awesome gun. I owned a Perazzi MX8 and the handling of my prostar is very similar. If ever you need spare parts you can get them directly from Prostar.

 

Got mine second hand. Zero issues so far. Liked it so much I had a custom stock made to be my backup gun.

 

I have not heard of anyone with a ProStar problem so far. I too purchased my ProStar used. I only shoot mine occasionally. Too many shotguns.

Around the same time that I purchase my ProStar, I was also experimenting with semiautomatics. Because is soaks up recoil the A400 Cole Pro Parallel Target is now my main competition gun.

 

Has anyone had to replace firing pins on their Prostar?

 

I have over 40k through mine and still using original firing pins. Some pitting due to primer piercing, but not bad enough to replace. I have replaced the firing pin springs, hammer springs, and top lever spring. Thats it.

 

Ia_Burhler were these parts replaced because they were wore out or just a basic maitennance?

 

Basic maintenance, but I could feel the top lever spring was weakening. I doubt the springs would it’d make it another year and another 40k rounds.
