Does anyone know the differences between the standard and midrib versions and does anyone know the stock dimensions of either the midrib or the standard with the monte-carlo style stock? I couldn't find this information on the web anywhere.
I'm considering a Guerini Summit Ascent and similar guns with a stock and rib fit that allow me to shoot with more of an upright head position. My neck issues have progressed to a point where I need to make some changes in my shooting style.

Yeah, the Prostar site seems to be totally devoid of spec charts.

Most of them I've seen have had a low rib, but Indiana Gun Club did have one at The Grand with a taller rib. IIRC, the rib was around 3/8" or 1/2" tall. The rib looked pretty flat, so I'd guess one would set the comb to stack the beads for sporting, and for trap one would want to see some rib between the beads. It also didn't have a Schnabel forend, as most of them seem to have. If I wasn't currently on an 870 kick, it may have sufficiently tempted me. It would definitely be good if you could compare them in person.

I have both the 32" mid rib and the 32" flat rib. The mid rib I have is heavier for sure. Flat rib weighs 1.58Kg, the mid rib is 1.75Kg. but John @ eurosports LLC said they offer a light weight mid rib barrel set as well. Basically the same barrels without side ribs. I have both stocks as well, but I don't know the dimensions off the top of my head. They do have a fair amount of cast in them. The standard stock for the flat rib models has this sticker on it stating the dimensions. My monte carlo stock doesn't have this sticker.

I’ve inquired about several flat rib sporters from different dealers and the DAC/DAH vary a lot. Several guns had really high combs which surprised me - like 1.25 DAC and 1.75DAH.

I purchased both the 32" flat rib and the mid rib barrels to mount on a Perazzi MX 2000 receiver. The flat rib barrels weighed 1492 gms without chokes 1558 gms with chokes. The mid rib was much heavier at 1746 gms with the chokes in so it was 6.6 ounces heavier. I shot the flat rib better so I sold the mid rib.
